Welcome to Mike's 1/32 Scale Models

As you might have noticed, my site is changing for the better. New header, info and a new (soon to be released) product line. I haven't had the time I would like to spend on it because of other obligations like earning money so the kids and wife can eat. They get kind of mean when not fed... So something had to give and it was revamping the website. For that, I hope you'll forgive me.

I will be focusing more on general 1/32 scale racing products and news than just the SCX systems. That way more people will have something they can take away or contribute to this site. Speaking of which, if you happen to come across anything that you think would be of interest, please send it to me and I'll post it in a tech section. FYI: I don't put Google Ads or anything on here to bring in money or clutter the information and slow your browser down. I might put in a Google Site Search but that's all I think I'll do. I am simplifying my site and making it easier to navigate. If you have any suggestions or something you'd like to see on here, fire an E-mail to me and I'll put it on the site. Thanks again for visiting. Mike

Important News Update

As many of you know, I am in a master's degree program and my time is divided between my family, school work, job, homework and my hobby. Time for these models isn't the priority right now as much as I wanted it to be. I have nearly completed the drawings for my goal of twenty structures. I am looking for someone that can help me with the electrical lighting for the concert stage. What good is it to go to a race without a grandstand show, right? Here's the good news... I created them for tight budgets. Starting at $19.95, most models cost between $29.95 and $34.95. I want to offer multi kits with three, four or five kits in them. The cost for a three kit is going to be around $54.95, Four kits are $66.95 and five kits is $79.95. You'll save $20.00 by purchasing five kits! Here is the best part, you get to choose which kits you want!

General Info

I have completed the technical drawings for my model structures. Expected start of production is September 2010 if everything goes according to plan.

I have posted some info on my blog and on Slotcarillustrated's blog about creating barriers for my digital SCX track. I will post pictures and a "How-To" on this site for making these

Click on the picture below to see how to build your track barriers or go to "MY TRACK to see the pictures of the barriers being made.

Metric Converter

Trying to figure out metric to U.S. Standard scale? Here's a couple of converters. Once you get the "inches" just divide by 12 to get feet or look below for the cm to feet converter.

    Model Structures

I have completed more than twenty 1/32 scaled structures. Go here to read more about it

This video has a great layout with lots of models, scenery etc. I plan to do the same for my layout and reproduce the structures for other people's layouts around the world.

    AC2Cars Info

I plan on building an AC2Cars track this year. Don't get me wrong, I love my SCX Digital track but it has limitations. I do suggest your buying a digital track. The analog will be a project for the future probably to display my models on. So why build a custom track? Because I can use any 1/32 cars I want that are analog by installing a resistor to the car and controller. Plus, it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

I'll have to get a table saw to cut the MDF material. Other than that, I'll be ready to go this summer when it's too hot outside.
