SCX Digital home-built wood track

Is your layout lacking hills and track is too expensive? Have an unusual design in mind?

I want to build up and have a road race circuit through a mountain and tunnel then have the race weave its way back down the mountain and through an English countryside and by a harbor.

I want to build it like a model train set but can't because there isn't any adjustable track to raise or lower the height other than the bridge ($109.00). That's not an acceptable solution. I don't know how I can build it so I set up a blog to discuss this issue with SCX.
