Welcome to Mike's 1/32 scale models & My BlogTalkRadio show - Michael Live!
Welcome,I'm Mike and over the next year, I will be creating new structures for 1/32 scale layouts. If you have a specific structure you think other racers would want on their layout, send me the details so I can try to build it. Pictures and basic measurements are a must. |

I am in the midst of creating new models for 1/32 slot car layouts. I won't be making molds for stadium seating and if anyone out there knows of a company (besides Carrera) that makes the stadiums, please contact me ASAP.
I will be making master molds of buildings for towns
and cities. I found that there are few models for rally layouts and I
decided to make my own.
Using resin to make castings of my models, i'll be able to make them affordably. Watch my site site for updates as the molds and castings reach completion and become available.
Thanks for your business, Mike
Trying to figure out metric to U.S. Standard scale? Here's a couple of
convertors. Once you get the "inches" just divide by 12 to get feet or look
below for the cm to feet convertor.
I changed this section to "What's New!" today
because I felt it more fitting to put up-to-date info on the front
page.
For my visitors from around the world,
Cars: Does anyone know how to repair the chips in a car
when they go bad and the guide stops working?
Does anyone know where to
get car bodys without paint so I can switch them out as I
choose?
Does anyone know how to correct the stock-cars from being really
loose in the corners? Mine keep spinning out. I adjusted the magnet closer to
the track but that barely made a difference.
Does anyone know where to
get decals for our cars?
I recently got my SCX set via
UPS. I chose the 3 car GT set with the pit set up. I added an extra set of
straight track (I thought I'd bought 4 sets but I guess I forgot to change it to
4 in the quantity box.
Good thing because i couldn't have used it. What I
needed was lots of inner and outer curves.

I first decided what I wanted the track to eventually look like. I
measured my basement space and determined I could put in a 5 foot x 12 foot wood
table. I have also planned for a twenty foot table addition five feet wide. The final track will be about 100'overall when completed and it will eventually have a coastal road zig-zagging down a mountain into a town and back to the control tower and pits.
I made the table 30" in height like my dining room table so I could sit
and race for hours without my back problems giving me grief.
I used standard metal
construction connectors which worked out great overall. I still have to ad cross
bracing for support but otherwise, the table is strong enough to stand on (my 13
year old climbed on it to get the car! )
My site has tech tips, videos of SCX layouts, my track info and of course, my progress on my designs and manufacturing of those models. Ask any questions or drop a line, or send video and pictures with a link. I'll post it here.

This video has a great layout with lots of models, scenery etc. I plan to do the same for my layout and reproduce the structures for other people's layouts around the world.
